Mix together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a large bowl.
In a separate bowl mix together milk, beaten egg, melted butter, and vanilla. Make sure the butter is cooled so it doesn’t cook the egg.
Pour wet ingredients into dry and stir until combined. Be careful not to over mix.
Let batter rest for about 5-10 minutes and preheat pan on medium heat or 325 degrees F for an electric griddle.
Using a ¼ cup measuring cup, pour the batter onto a pan or griddle and cook until the batter begins to look bubbly on top. Flip and cook until golden brown.
